Meeting was called to order by Cindy Heath at 7:40PM. Secretary Report: Motion to approve the minutes was made by Karin Lezon. Seconded by Joyce Eriks. Motion carried. Treasurer Report: January financials were reviewed. A transfer of $73,979.48 was made to the General Fund as a result of the split of the joint account between East and Central. An additional split will be made after the Guard Show. Then there will be a split of funds between East and North at the end of the year. There is approx. $18,000.00 still owed by the students for travel. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Tom Blakley, seconded by Caryn DeHart. Motion carried. Ways & Means: Tom McKay reported that everything is in place for the Spaghetti Dinner on February 14th. Only around 200 tickets have been sold. Students have been assigned their work times. The bread, salad and utensils have been donated. Other food will be purchased. Desserts are being donated by parents. The Cupid Raffle is underway; there is an anticipated profit of $5,000.00. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is March 8th. Student volunteers can receive community service hours. Tom Blakley is the chairman. The Winter Guard Show is April 5th and 6th at East. Central will be used for practices and lodging for the groups. Volunteers (both adults and students) are needed. See Karen or Tom McKay for details. The Flower Sale order forms were sent out. They are due back by March 7, 2008. Pick-up is Friday, May 9th from 3:30-8:00PM. Please contact Karin Lezon or Jean Stanker for details. This is an IBA fundraiser. The next Market Day is March 5th. Orders can be submitted online. Shop and Share at Jewel Food Store will be March 10, 11, and 12. Forms will be sent out with the newsletter via email. The next general booster meeting will be March 4th. It will either be in the cafeteria or the band room. SueAnn DelVicario introduced John Fiocca as the new treasurer and Dennis Reis and the new Ways & Means chair for the North board. Mr. Johnson reported that the Wind Ensemble and the Wind Symphony will compete at ISU this year on April 25th. The Symphony will perform at 7:00PM and the Ensemble will perform at 8:30PM. The ISU Wind Ensemble will perform at 9:00PM. Mr. Smith reported that the summer schedules for both the East and North Marching Bands are out and available in the band room.
