Pack 'em in -Load 'em up

The process for making sure all is checked-in for band camp is a precise, watch as we go step-by-step through the process.

It is important to make sure all students needing medication during the week have the proper meds. and information on dosage for the chaperones.


Proceed to stop 2.


Chaperones throroughly check all luggage. Over the years, the chaperones learned that this is the best way to insure that no unauthorized items come to camp.



This senior knows the routine. She is a veteran, having gone to band camp three times already.


Along with luggage, all equipment is loaded on Saturday too.


Back to check-in. Yes even the instrument cases get searched. Not that we don't trust them, but some of the Griffins are very resourceful.


These two just purchased new eye glass frames, aren't they cute?


A short line forms, but everyone seems to be very patient.



Shift two begins arriving. Check-in was scheduled in shifts alphabetically by last name.


Mr. McKay, one of the chaperones, comes well prepared. "You just never know what you might need during the week."

These two are confident they will make it through inspection without a problem.


This year we are traveling with over 190 students, watch as the luggage truck fills.


Thanks to these volunteer dads, and their expert baggage handling skills, the truck is expertly loaded.


"Hey Dr. Krawczyk, I need that bag on the bottom left, I forgot to pack my toothbrush! "


Did you hear, United might be hiring!


"Tah-dah!"
