GENERAL MEETING - TUESDAY
OCTOBER 12, 2004 Minutes

Vickie Burch called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.

REPORTS

Secretary – The minutes from the September meeting were posted on the website.  A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the minutes as posted.

Treasurer’s Report – Jackie Cooper presented the Financial Report for September and Year to Date.  She also reported on the Account Balances as of October 1, 2004.  The account balances are where the budget anticipated they would be.  A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the Treasurer’s Report.

The Treasurer-Elect, Mike Albert, introduced a new option of using Visa or MasterCard credit cards to make payments with a $100.00 minimum.  Blank forms were available and should soon be on the website.  The payments can be put in the blue mailbox.  A question arose about the surcharge; it is minimal and will not be added to payment.

Communications – Val McGraw reported the new phone tree is working.  She requested that anyone who doesn’t receive a phone call to let her know.  She is also trying to put helpful hints for freshman parents on the website.

The Mentoring program was not successful this year due to an insufficient number of veteran parents available.

The Fan Club has met 3 times and has made props to show support during competitions.  There was feedback from a parent that the props were easily seen by the band from the field.
Name tags that were ordered are available for pick up at the Booster meetings.

Ways and Means – Mark Kane and Nancy Stachura reported on the following fundraisers.
