GENERAL BOARD MEETING

The meeting was called to order at 7:35PM by Cindy Heath.

Secretary Report:  Motion to approve the minutes was made by Wendy Miller.  Seconded by Bonnie Blomarz.  Motion carried. 

Treasurer Report:  The March financials were reviewed.  $5919.00 was made on the Cupid Raffle.  $3872.00 on the Easter Bunny Breakfast.  $4428.00 on the Spaghetti Dinner.  Motion to approve the March report was made by Barb Malm.  Seconded by Tracy McMahon. 

Communications:  Please let Teri Schuh know of email changes.  There have been a lot of monthly newsletters rejected due to email addresses being discontinued.  Phone calls will be made if requested.

Ways & Means:  The Winter Guard Show is this weekend, April 5th and 6th.  It is a joint fundraiser with Central.  Housing will be on the 2nd floor at East.  We will have a full concession stand for both days.

Car Wash-will be in June at East and Mokena Elementary.  It will be for both East and North. It is the first IBA fundraiser of the season for the students.

SIAM-business sign-up starts in May.  Tom McKay will be chairman again this year.

Flower Sale-Karen Lezon reported that $32,000.00 in total sales was brought in, with $13,000.00 going to IBA.  Volunteers are needed to unload the truck on May 9th in the parking lot behind the tennis courts.

Picateers-the agreements were signed for next year.  There will be a 50% profit on all items sold from the portrait level, and 25% profit for candid shots. Items such as mugs, pins, and pictures will be ordered from their website. Parent volunteers are needed to take pictures at the various events including Marching Band, Choirs, Concert Nights, and Madrigals.

NASCAR-there is another alcohol training session at the Joliet Speedway on May 19th and 20th for the races in June, July and Sept. This session must be attended in order to work the races.  Contact Sue Ann DelVicario (samd1989@sbcglobal.net or 815-469-6185) to sign up for these days.

The banquet is May 18, 2008 at DiNolfo’s in Mokena.  Ticket forms are available online at the music website.

Barb Malm is chairperson for the uniforms next year.  There will be a measuring session on June 5th at 1:30-3:30 for summer shirts and drill masters.  Then at 7:30PM-8:30PM for uniforms.  Volunteers are needed to help measure the students.  Contact Barb at 815-469-2930.

Mr. Johnson reported that the tickets for the Spring Musical are on sale this week.  The musical is April 17, 18, and 19.

The Jazz Band is traveling to Wisconsin with Mr. Calhoon this weekend for the Bob Kamis Festival.

The Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony will be at the ISU Band Contest on April 25th. Competition begins at 7:30PM.

Artworks is this weekend at East.

The New Lenox Loyalty Parade is May 4th, the day after Prom.  All are expected to attend.

Cindy reported that the new slate of East officers will be introduced at a separate meeting tonight after the General Meeting.
