Illinois Music Educator's Association

The Illinois Music Educators Association is an organization comprised of music teachers across the state.  One aspect of the organization is to put on a competitive festival for admittance to both a district level and state level ensemble.  Members of Chorale are required to audition for the district level choral ensemble.  Members of our vocal jazz groups are required to audition for the district level vocal jazz ensembles.   Members of other choirs are allowed and encouraged to audition.  In preparation for auditions, the Lincoln-Way choir directors have a week-long IMEA prep camp the first week after the school year gets out in May/June.
